This is an illustration of a Bell Bottom Pier that is used for home foundation repair. Constructed on-site by Dawson’s experienced work crews, a home or commercial building may require as few as four or five piers or more than one hundred depending on it size. The diagram below includes all of the key components. The distinctive “bell bottom” or foot of the pier gives it stability and the strength to support heavy loads many times greater than other foundation repair methods. The main shaft of the pier is constructed with three long lengths of steel rebar for strength. The top or cap of the pier includes two steel rebar mats to give it high strength.
